Tano, a Spanish WWOOFer here at Cambo, and I, went to Inverness for an extended weekend trip. It was splendid!!
Friday, November 16th: Arrive in Inverness around 6:30 pm (first rental car in Scotland, excellent experience!) meet our CS host, eat dinner out and experience an awesome live music show.
Saturday, November 17th: Hike Ben Wyvis, and experience my first snow in Scotland!! Absolutely fantastic, but FRIGID! Still need to buy more winter clothing, and especially more appropriate winter hiking footwear. Make dinner for our host and low key night chatting.
And for pictures of Ben Wyvis . . . . (All the pictures on this blog are courtesy of Tano, my very photographically gifted friend) =)
SNOOOOOOOOOOW!!! Can you tell how cold I am?? Ha!
The pics of Glen Affric.........
This was a really fantastically gorgeous bit of moss / ground cover / not sure what exactly it is (horticulture friends??) but I love how the plants look like stars! And notice the snow? =) I almost feel like this looks as though it belongs in the ocean!
And now the xmas light pictures!!
Can you tell I am excited about the xmas lights??!! Words do not describe!
First the pics of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle........
A duck eating bread out of my hand!!! (and my key went wonky part way through, but you get the idea) =)
Petting Nessy!! This is the closest we got to seeing the monster! =)
Tano getting friendly with Nessy
And our delicious shared meal in Dores. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!! So good! This picture makes me hungry again just looking at it!
Overall, an absolutely fantastic trip!
And Rose - I will get a WWOOF update next week! =)
